The songs that people sang and danced to helped to cheer everyday life in the home, in the factories, in the offices, and on the battlefield. Listening to the radio you might have heard one of Winston Churchill's great patriotic speeches. Click on his picture and try to compose a great speech yourself. You might even print it out and "make" it to your class!! |

People do die in war... many. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission keeps a register of where many soldiers and civilians killed in the two World Wars are buried. They call this the 'Debt of Honour'. You might find it interesting to search for someone of YOUR surname. |
