Stories of the gods and heroes are retold again and again on Greek vases.  The Greeks like us used pottery for eating, drinking, and all sorts of other things.  People may think that we Greeks were drunk all the time, this is just not true. Wine was a drunk at every meal because of our poor water supply. However, we nearly always mixed it with water. We had two main types of designs and these refer to the colors we used. They are red figure and black figure.
