| I left London when I was 5 years old with my 2 brothers ages 3 and 6 years old in 1939. | |
| One brother was sent to Cambridge and my smaller brother and I were sent to Saxton Green in Suffolk. | |
| We stayed with the Aldridge family who operated the local windmill. I remember watching the sails of the windmill going around and listening to the squeaks of the blades as they rotated. | |
| In early 1940 my Mum was in an air raid shelter and a bomb made a direct hit and she and 39 people were killed. | |
| The Aldridges were in their 50's and made it very obvious that the last thing they needed were two Londoners. | |
| I stayed with them for 2 years but finally they requested that I be moved. | |
| They just didnt like me and I was sent to Harston near Cambridge to my other brother. | |
| In 1945 I went back to London. | |
| In 1948 I moved to the United States. |
There are two people missing from this story. Who do you think they are?
